BUKIT KAYU HITAM: There is no indication that any of the six Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia elected representatives in Kedah is leaving the party to join Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).

As such, Bersatu’s Guar Chempedak assemblyman Datuk Dr Ku Abdul Rahman Ku Ismail gave his assurances that the Pas-led state government will remain intact.

“I strongly believe and am confident that all the six Bersatu assemblymen will remain supporting the current state government. The same goes with the two Umno elected reps… they will also remain supporting the state government.

“I don’t see any movement nor have I heard any of the state lawmakers from the government side crossing over to anywhere,” he said after attending the opening of Phase 1 of the KT Express Logistics Sdn Bhd’s e-commerce and logistics terminal by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor here today.

Ku Rahman, who is the state Industrial and Investment Committee chairman, was responding to Ampang member of parliament Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin’s decision to resign as the plantations industries and commodities minister.

She also announced that she was leaving Bersatu to join PBM as “she resonated with the new party’s principles and struggles”.
