Three injured after lorry crashes into two foodstalls
KUALA KRAI: A lorry driver and his attendant were injured after their vehicle crashed into two foodstalls here yesterday.
The 55-year-old driver and the 17-year old attendant were travelling from Telekong to Batu Balai when the incident happened at about 5.30pm.
District police chief Superintendent Suzai Mohammad said also injured in the incident was the foodstall owner.
“The lorry driver was believed to have lost control of his vehicle, causing it to crash into the two foodstalls.
“The incident caused two men and a woman to suffer injuries.
“The men suffered injuries on their bodies while the woman suffered about nine percent burns on her hands,” he added.
He said the three received treatments at nearby hospital. Police are investigating the incident.
