TAPAH: A cement mixer truck ploughed into the rear of two vehicles before crashing into an expressway divider and rammed into a third vehicle in the opposite lane at the North-South Expressway (NSE) near here this morning.

The 10am crash at Km336.3 of the NSE led to a four-wheel drive vehicle driver sustaining head injuries.

Tapah police chief Superintendent Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail said the crash caused a three-kilometre crawl in both directions along the NSE between Tapah and Bidor.

He said initial investigations revealed that the cement mixer truck driver was proceeding along the left lane and was southbound when he ploughed into the four-wheel drive and an Audi.

“The crash led to the truck driver losing control of his vehicle, which skidded and hit the expressway’s divider before it entered the opposite direction and collided with a Toyota Yaris.
